CRICKET JOBS: Logstics Assistant, Main Kitchen - MCC (UK)

Lord’s Ground, the most famous cricket ground in the world, and owned by Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), is an exceptional venue with a wealth of experience in delivering high quality hospitality, corporate and private events, supported by our Catering, Hospitality and Meeting and Events team.

 

 

 

 

MCC is now recruiting a Logistics Assistant to support the Logistics Manager and Logistics Assistant Manager to ensure the Ground Operations run as efficiently as possible. The Logistics Assistant (Main Kitchen) will liaise with the Executive and Head Chefs and supervise the logistics porters within the Main and Pastry Kitchens. The role will also supervise cleaning of the Main Kitchen and cold production areas, and manage the waste disposal units.

Skills and experience

With some experience gained in a logistics role, the ideal candidate will be forklift trained and hold a full UK Driving License. Basic COSHH and Food Hygiene Level 2 qualifications are essential.

Strong communication skills are also required along with initiative, administrative and organisational ability and the ability to work quickly under pressure whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Good IT skills, particularly MS Outlook, Word and Excel, are also required.

Flexibility is vital as there is a regular need to cover evenings and weekends as well as working extended hours during the cricket season and all Major Match Days.
