Maintaining the position of MCC as the World’s premier Cricket Club requires high quality staff at all levels and in a wide variety of functions. The Club’s activities are centred around cricket and its 20,000 strong membership across the world.  The Club’s total revenues now approach £40m with some 200 staff.

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Design Assistant, looking to develop a career in Design, to support the Brand & Design Department in delivering consistent and high quality artwork and graphic design across a variety of media including print, digital, signage and merchandise.  The Brand and Design Department offers a service to a number of departments at MCC.  These include Marketing, Hospitality, Retail, Meetings & Events, Media & Communications, Digital, Catering, Cricket Academy, Tavern Pub, Human Resources, Museum, Library and Tours. Wide ranges of design solutions are produced, across a variety of print and digital media.

You will work within a small team to support and work on projects from conception through to production and completion.  This will include; input into the creative process down to choosing the appropriate media and style; producing artwork and submitting proofs for review; liaising with print suppliers and finishing as required to design specifications.  It is imperative that all work is delivered to a high standard of quality and accuracy as is expected of the MCC and Lord’s brands.

This role will suit someone who has recently achieved either a degree or diploma (or equivalent) in Graphic/Digital Design, or can demonstrate proficiency through experience.  In addition, you will have advanced working knowledge of software packages including Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft.  An ability to use Flash, Final Cut Pro and After Effects and knowledge of html coding would be beneficial. Good working knowledge of Apple Operating Systems would be valuable.

With a passion for Design, you must be able to work without supervision to meet multiple deadlines.  Attention to detail and accuracy is key, as are good literacy and communication and organisation skills.  Flexibility will also be required during the cricket season as you may occasionally be required to work shifts and during weekends.  An interest in cricket would be advantageous.
