Closing date: 10th April 2015

Cricket is New Zealand’s premier summer sport with 150,000 people currently playing the game, making it one of the most widely played sports in the country.

New Zealand Cricket provides vision, direction and guidance to cricket at all levels of the game nationally and as a member of the international cricket community. Our purpose is to stimulate growth of the game and strengthen its support base, develop outstanding international teams underpinned by elite player development programmes, develop a strong and sustainable commercial base and deliver successful sporting events.

With around sixty employees based across our Lincoln High Performance Centre and our Auckland Support Services Office together with a number of seasonal contractors, we are a passionate, enthusiastic team committed to realising NZC’s mission of “More People Playing, More People Watching” whilst living and breathing our core Values:

  • Cricket First
  • One Team
  • Be The Best I Can Be
  • Walk The Talk
  • Raise The Bar
  • Appreciate And Celebrate

The role of the White Ferns Head Coach is to develop and implement a high performance coaching programme for existing and potential team members together with the White Ferns High Performance Manager; to travel with the team on tour; to organise and run training camps and to head the national selection panel. This is a part time (0.5 FTE), fixed term role until August 2017.

We’re looking for:

  • A strong technical knowledge of all aspects of cricket
  • A Level 3 coaching qualification (or equivalent) plus recent coaching experience and success at an elite level
  • Outstanding leadership, communication and people management skills
  • The drive to succeed and a willingness to be judged on results
  • The flexibility to be able to tour both domestically and internationally plus extra capacity to attend training camps at Lincoln (these are usually from Friday-Sunday) and ad-hoc planning meetings.

Candidates should email a CV and covering letter to careers@nzcricket.org.nz. Applications close on 10 April 2015.
