Cricket Tasmania is the governing body of cricket in Tasmania promoting and developing the game throughout the state. As a unique and iconic sporting organisation it has responsibility for all aspects of the sport within Tasmania. Blundstone Arena is the home of Cricket Tasmania, the Tasmanian Tigers, Tasmanian Roar and Hobart Hurricanes. It is also host to national and international cricket and AFL matches as well as a range of sporting, corporate and social events in its impressive new function centre.

Cricket Tasmania has a full-time, 12 month parental leave contract opportunity for a Membership Manager. Based in Hobart and reporting to the General Manager, Marketing and Commercial this fantastic role is responsible for the day to day operations of the Cricket Tasmania and Hobart Hurricanes membership programs.

Key role responsibilities include:

  • Managing key stakeholder relationships for both the Cricket Tasmania and Hobart Hurricanes membership programs
  • Administering the database and processes required to operate the membership programs effectively
  • Managing and responding to membership enquiries on a day to day basis throughout the year
  • Developing strategies for building, maintaining and servicing a dynamic and expanding membership database
  • Coordinating member specific functions and events


To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Proven knowledge and experience in a similar membership or customer database position
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and work both operationally and strategically
  • Ability to build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships
  • Resilience, energy, initiative and integrity
  • Well-developed relationship building and stakeholder management skills
  • Exceptional planning, coordination and organisational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Some people management experience


This full-time hands-on role is for a resourceful, energetic and customer focused administrator, who enjoys diversity in their job and working with people. The successful candidate will be available for the entire 2015/16 summer cricket season, operate at a fast pace and thrive under the pressure of match days and member events.
