Cricket Show 329: Competition Winner

Filed in:

This week's winner of the Cricket Show podcast question competition is Kalpna. He wins a free coaching course from PitchVision Academy.

The winning question was,

"As a spinner, I have an issue where I get in a position where my front foot is planted to far across from my back foot and thus struggle to fully drive my hips and pivot and also find myself slightly collapsed to the offside rather than being upright, my wrist position allows me to spin the ball well however I would like to get quicker through the air and reduce my flight. I have tried using cones while training so that I am more aligned and side on at the crease. I also think that when I cock my wrist in my run up I get my wrist and forearm a bit tensed, I am trying to get quicker so that I can still flight, dip and turn the ball but not be easy for the batsmen to use their feet against me. What drills do you advise for these sort of technical faults?"
