Frequently Asked Questions about PitchVision
Can pitchvision be used outdoor?
YES! PitchVision work well on any firm surface - indoor or outdoor. As a general rule of thumb, the firmer the surface the better, however a well rolled turf pitch will also be suitable. Sensor performance and the response of the ball (i.e. bounce) will be affected on soft turf or soft grass pitches or damp pitches.
Use on Windy Days: If any hanging/ wall sensors is being used outdoors care should be taken to ensure that the weather is calm with little breeze. In windy conditions the hanging sensor can act as a 'sail' - catching the wind and billowing. This can put significant stress on the net structure and could in extreme cases lead to damage of the net, sensor and injury to those around. Please exercise caution in this regard.
