CRICKET JOBS: England Performance Programme Administrator (Part- time) - ECB

Salary £16,750 pa plus 15% Pension Contribution
 
The ECB is the governing body for Cricket in England and Wales and is responsible for the game from ‘Playground to Test Arena’. A vacancy has arisen for an administrator to work at the National Cricket Performance Centre in Loughborough. 
 
Purpose of the job: 
To be responsible for the provision of first class business and administrative support to the England Performance Programme and National Cricket Performance Centre 
 
Reporting Structure: 
The position sits within the ‘Performance’ team of the England Cricket department. The job holder reports to the Performance Director and Operations Manager. The ECB Performance Director is one of the senior posts that reports to the Managing Director of England Cricket. 
 
Facts and Figures: 
The England Performance Programme is responsible for identifying, selecting and developing cricketers with the potential to perform at World’s Best level for England, as well as providing World Class support to the senior England Teams 
 
Principal Responsibilities: 
To provide administrative support to the England Performance Programme and related coaching programmes including : 
  • Programming 
  • Communication with players 
  • Communication with staff 
  • Booking of travel & accommodation 
  • Producing information handbooks 
  • Finances 
  • Administrative duties within the National Performance Centre 
  • To provide administrative support to the Performance Director, the England Performance Programme Manager, the National Lead Coaches and the Technical Director for Elite Coaching 
  • To act as personal assistant to the Performance Director, dealing with telephone calls and taking messages, correspondence and monitoring diaries 
  • To service meetings as required, including the organisation of venues, the taking of minutes and the distribution of papers 
  • To ensure effective communication with all members of the England Performance Programme Coaching and Management team 
  • To administer the budgets relating to the England Performance Programme 
  • To carry out any other administrative duties as determined by the ECB Performance Director and Operations Manager 
 
Job Context:
  • The aim of the ECB is “to become and remain the most successful and respected cricket nation in the world” 
  • The ECB Cricket Department is responsible for identifying and developing the most talented cricketers in the country through the England team, the England Performance Programme and through the Elite Player Development Programme. 
  • The England Performance Programme Administrator will play a key role in this by ensuring the smooth administrative operation of what is a core central team responsible for the overall achievement of this aim.

Knowledge and Experience:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Excellent organisational skills. 
  • Excellent administrative skills 
  • Excellent standard of IT skills; MS Office, Powerpoint, Publisher, Excel, other database applications 
  • Financial management skills. 
  • Knowledge and understanding of elite cricket / elite sport an advantage 
  • Can operate with diplomacy, tact and with high levels of confidentiality 
  • Ability to work within a team 
  • Ability to be flexible and reliable 
  • Ability to be calm, approachable, self-motivated with a high standard of personal performance
