CRICKET JOBS: Deputy Manager, Catering - Essex CCC

Responsible for: Staff on Duty 

Main Objectives: 

To be responsible for the operations of the venue ensuring service standards are met, both in the absence and presence of the General Manager, ensuring that staffing levels are correct, staff are briefed daily , set goals and objectives so that the department runs smoothly. To control wet stocks, achieving Gross Profit% and in addition focus on controllable costs such as linen, payroll etc. To be responsible for training, developing and motivating individuals. 

 

Working Relationships: 

Venue Management Team (GM/Head Chef/Event Manager) Maintain close working relationship with S hared S ervice C entre , General Manager. 

 

Duties & Responsibilities: 

Management of the Event Managers Management of the Venue in the absence of the General Manager Ensure financial targets are met or exceeded Ensure customers and clients are served to a high standard Liais e with GM to monitor results in all areas of the business, look at effectiveness or procedures and discuss and implement any actions or improvements Build relationships with customers to ensure customer longevity and repeat business Communicate with GM in personal development, training, appraisals and long term objectives Adherence to Company Policies Ensure tha t the highest standards of cleanliness, tidiness and hygiene are adhered to at all times Ensure that all members of staff are trained to a level which enables them to carry out their duties according to Departmental standards Ensure that all members of staff adhere to the correct standard of dress and personal hygiene at all times Inform General Manager/ Regional Manager of and disciplinary matters that arise To ensure the control of all Department equipment ensuring that breakages are kept to a minimum and that misuse of Company property does not occur 

Maintain liquor control procedures and to adhere to legal requirements in respect of the sales of alcohol to the public Liaise with the relevant Bars that till readings are completed correctly at the end of each function To be fully conversant with all of the paperwork involved in assisting the running of a branch Attend meeting / training sessions as and when required / Assisting other branches as and when required
