1. Job Summary The Head of Marketing & digital is responsible for all marketing & digital strategy for the game, ECB’s competitions and Team England. The role will develop best practice marketing within the ECB and in to all FCC. It will also play a wider role to help deliver the commercial strategy for ECB.

2. Role Context/ Organisation Structure Reporting to the Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, the role will have 4 direct reports and be responsible for a team of 15. 

3. Facts and Figures Responsible for £2.5/3m marketing spend 

4. Key Working Relationships: All direct reports, Commercial Leadership Team, ECB Leadership Team, FCC’s Commercial Directors, external agency partners. 

5. Principal Responsibilities and Accountabilities - Job specific 

  • Develop and deliver a marketing strategy for cricket
  • Develop marketing strategy & plan for the recreational game 
  • Deliver Digital strategy for ECB including a new revenue stream of £4m by end of 2017
  • Build a high performing marketing team 
  • Ensure competition marketing strategies are aligned 
  • Build strong Team England brand
  • Build stronger t20 Blast brand 
  • Build best practice marketing techniques for ECB
  • Provide best practice marketing tools for FCC’s
  • Build one marketing community across the FCC’s
  • Effectively manage and deliver efficiencies across the budget 
  • Select key agency partners and deliver efficiencies

7. Person Specification

 

Minimum qualification

  • At least 10/15 years FMCG marketing experience.
  • Core knowledge/experience
  • Experience of putting together strategic plans 
  • Functional expertise in marketing 
  • Proven track record of delivering successful marketing & digital campaigns
  • Experience of using CRM to drive results 
  • Experience of managing teams and working in matrix organisations
