Committed to improving the quality of Recreational Cricket in Warwickshire both on and off the field of play, the Warwickshire Cricket Board seeks applications from suitably skilled people to fulfill the role of General Manger following the announcement that current incumbent, Nick Archer, is to retire this summer. 
 
With a budget of over £0.75M you will be responsible for a wide range of cricketing activities providing opportunities for talented young people to fulfill their cricketing potential, supporting and encouraging our affiliated clubs, leagues, partners and stakeholders to increase the number of people playing cricket and ensuring the Board meets the needs of our customers. 
 
The successful candidate will combine the qualities of an effective leader and manager with the ability to develop good working relationships with all of our funders, partners and stakeholders and a real commitment to developing cricketing excellence in Warwickshire. In particular the successful candidate will work closely with colleagues at Warwickshire County Cricket Club and the England & Wales Cricket Board to drive participation and engagement with all aspect of the game.

WARWICKSHIRE CRICKET BOARD GENERAL MANAGER 
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES 
 
  • To develop and keep under review the Board’s Strategic Plan 
  • To produce an annual budget and business plan 
  • To ensure the Board in fulfilling it’s responsibilities in accordance with the ECB’s Memorandum of Understanding 
  • To manage the Board’s relationship with the County Club, in accordance with the MOU between the Board and WCC 
  • To ensure the Board is fulfilling it’s responsibilities to other funders, partners and stakeholders, including the Cricket Foundation 
  • To manage and develop the Board’s relationships with key partners and stakeholders 
  • To undertake regular surveys and reviews to ensure the Board’s services match partners, stakeholders and customer expectations and needs 
  • To lead the Board’s workforce and manage staffing and other resources to deliver good value for money 
  • To performance manage all Board activity to ensure key performance indicators , targets and milestones are achieved, including budgetary control 
  • To develop and maintain the Board’s Communication and Marketing Strategy 
  • To act as Company Secretary 
  • To ensure the Board’s key strategies and policies are kept up to date 
  • To support the Board in developing and maintaining an appropriate Board Assurance Framework and maintaining the Risk Register
