CRICKET JOBS: Integrity Analyst - ECB (UK)

To provide analytical, operational and intelligence support to the ECB’s Anti-Corruption Unit and Ethics and Compliance Unit.
 
Role Context / Organisation Structure
During the cricket season, April to September, the Integrity Analyst will work predominantly with the ECB Anti-Corruption Manager.  Out of season, October to March, the Integrity Analyst will work predominantly with the Ethics and Compliance Manager.  The Integrity Analyst will be available, subject to workload, to undertake bespoke tasks on behalf of other ECB departments.
 
Facts and Figures
There will be one full time Integrity Analyst.  The Anti-Corruption Manager will accept budget responsibility and line management for the Integrity Analyst as a replacement for the Senior Investigator.
 
Key Working Relationships
During the cricket season, April to September, the Integrity Analyst will work predominantly with the ECB Anti-Corruption Manager.  Out of season, October to March, the Integrity Analyst will work predominantly with the Ethics and Compliance Manager.
 
Principal Responsibilities and Accountabilities – job specific
 
Anti-Corruption

  •     IBM i2 database data management, including data entry and analysis of information and data received;
  •     Provide intelligence reports, briefing notes and investigation strategies to A-C Manager;
  •     Coordinate information exchange with ICC ACU, domestic Anti-Corruption Units and other Integrity Units in other sports;
  •     Analyse bet monitoring reports and liaise with stakeholders to enhance their reporting capabilities and ensure all relevant bet monitoring information is provided;
  •     Collate and analyse all reports provided by Anti-Corruption officers and from the A-C Inbox;
  •     Manage betting agency relationships to ensure regular reporting of suspicious betting data;
  •     Assist in ECB’s anti-corruption programme as required, including providing support to the ECB A-C Manager, assist in operational duties “at match” and investigations.
  •     Establish and maintain relationships with betting operators, the Gambling Commission and other major sports bodies;
  •     Assist in preparation of reports as required.


 
Ethics and Compliance
 

  •     Anti-Doping and Illicit Drugs: intelligence reports on testing profiles; analysis of UKAD, ICC and WADA trends on drug use in sport; analysis and briefing notes on drug use in the UK and Europe; collaborative work with other sports
  •     Safeguarding: analysis and briefing notes on trends within case histories; profiling safeguarding patterns within the sport; working with colleagues to plan awareness programmes on the same; relationship management with key Government agencies and partners
  •     Inclusion and Diversity: support ECB colleagues in understanding community demographics within the game and within the UK


 
Person Specification

  •     Excellent IT skills
  •     Investigative experience
  •     Experience of handling and managing intelligence
  •     Knowledge and understanding of the National Intelligence Model
  •     A good understanding of, and ability to search, social media platforms
  •     Ability to write detailed reports
  •     An in depth knowledge of the betting industry
  •     Recent experience of working with iBase and Analyst Notebook.
  •     The highest standards of integrity and confidentiality
  •     Trusted to work alone and with own initiative.
  •     Able to prepare and deliver presentations
  •     Knowledge and understanding of interpreting data to identify behaviour trends
  •     An understanding and interest in the sport of cricket
