CRICKET JOBS: National Growth Manager, Diverse Communities - ECB (UK)

This role requires:

    Experience of working with Ethnic Minority Communities in Sport, demonstrating a thorough understanding of multicultural communities within this field.

    The ability to interpret complex data and use these insights to influence stakeholders obtaining buy-in to implement National and Regional Strategies.

  •     Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of growth markets, such as, within South Asians Communities.
  •     Demonstrate sophisticated cultural awareness.
  •     Creative problem solver and independent thinker with a track record of developing and implementing innovative programmes.
  •     Demonstrate leadership and strong team orientation with the ability to influence across multiple stakeholders both internally and externally.
  •     Demonstrate an adaptive approach to communication and negotiation skills.
  •     Experience of presenting at all levels.
  •     Outstanding project management skills essentially required in order to manage oversight of programmes implemented nationally and regionally.
  •     Sound financial management.

Complexity
 
The complexity of working with black and ethnic minority communities in Cricket is a unique within the business, this is a key role to drive the inclusion and diversity agenda and create a more equitable offer for our customers.
 
Impact
 
The role has a direct impact on the success and growth of our business by making the case for equity within our sport and growing the game for cricketers from the most disadvantaged and underrepresented groups.
The role impacts across the whole of the business.

Influence
 

  • The role holder will be required to influence both up and down within the business.
  • At strategic level with his/her colleagues leading national programmes, influencing and shaping the overall diversity strategy for cricket in England & Wales.
  • At Regional level working with regional colleagues to shape programmes for delivery through our county board networks, and finally at county level, influencing and shaping county board offers, aligning funding based on results.
  • The role will be required to influence the Core Cities through strategic growth of the game for South Asian Communities.
  • The role holder is also required to supply reports to partner contract organisations inclusive of Sport England and to collaborate with other sports on joint projects that further the development of cricket and sport in general.

  • The role holder has responsibility for the assembling of the insight, offers and the resources to support it.
  • The role holder has authority to determine changes to the offers annually.
