CPL Franchise Team Head Coach

Purpose and Objective: 
 
CPL are looking to recruit head coaches for four teams, Jamaica, St Lucia, Barbados and Antigua. The successful applicants will be responsible for the design and implementation of a coaching programme geared toward achieving success at both a team and individual player level, and, ultimately, toward the franchise winning the tournament, which will be played in the Caribbean from the 10th July to August 16th 2014
 
The role will involve being part of the team selection panel at the draft, which will take place in the Caribbean in April. You must be available to be part of the draft and give direct input into squad selection.

 
 
In the run up to the tournament you will liaise with the team’s management, including the Captain, to ensure first class preparation in time for the start of the Tournament
Scope of Work: 
 
The Head Coach role is a critical contributor to achieving the CPL strategic goal of becoming a world class cricketing event.
To be considered for the position you will need to have completed the Level 3 cricket coaching accreditation, as well substantial elite coaching experience of a senior representative cricket team, with a demonstrable record of success. You confirm that you are able to fulfil these criteria.
You will also be able to demonstrate that you are an outstanding team leader, motivator and communicator who can get the best from an elite team of professional cricketers. You must be someone that can work effectively with a wide range of individuals from varied backgrounds and cultures.
Away from the cricket field, you will have proven administration skills in budgeting, reporting and strategic planning, and be comfortable in media management and public speaking. Whilst not essential, experience as a first class player will be highly regarded
 
Educational & Other Requirements: 
  • Level 3 coaching accreditation
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must own a valid passport
