Women's Team Manager: Cricket Australia

The decentralised program for the Southern Stars involves state based and national squad training camps and an international playing schedule. This summer the Southern Stars will play a home series against England before heading to the T20 World Cup in Bangladesh. The Southern Stars Team Manager is responsible for the management of the Australian team during international competition in Australia and overseas and during national squad training camps. The role requires a commitment of approximately 85 days per year and the successful applicant will be paid a daily rate.

The Team Manager will:

• Undertake a full time role with the Southern Stars for the duration of each international competition
• Assist CA staff in the planning and preparation of each national squad camp and competition
• Oversee all tour and travel arrangements made by Cricket Australia for the Southern Stars whilst on tour
• Assist the Coach to develop a supportive ‘learning environment' for players and support staff

The person we are seeking for this role is likely to possess;

• Experience managing elite sporting teams;
• Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders;
• Well-developed planning and organizational skills;
• A friendly and flexible disposition in the face of unpredictable demands;
• A honest and confidential approach to their work; and
• An affinity for the sport of cricket.

You should be a friendly, professional and engaging person who is prepared to work demanding hours and undertake a wide variety of tasks. You should have exceptional customer service skills and pride yourself on being able to perform your duties in order to deliver the best environment for the Australian Women's Team.
