From 1996-2008 coach Harry Shapiro worked together with former South Africa spinner Omar Henry in highly running highly regarded cricket coaching clinics for spin bowlers in Johannesburg and Cape Town.

In 2008 Harry Shapiro and former Protea off spinner Shafiek Abrahams were appointed by cricket South Africa to run a High Performance Spin Bowling Coaching program throughout South Africa.

A most important event regarding Spin Bowling Coaching in South Africa occurred in 1997 when Harry Shapiro met the great Australian leg Spin coach,Terry Jenner. During the next 10 years Harry ran several leg spin bowling clinics with Terry and learnt a tremendous amount about the coaching of leg spin bowlers.

Terry passed away in May 2011. In his honour,Harry has started a Leg Spin Bowling Association, dedicated to helping as many young spinners and their coaches as possible.
