Cricket Australia (CA) is one of the nation’s premier sporting bodies and the peak body for cricket in Australia, providing an exciting and challenging work environment.
An opportunity has arisen at the elite level within CA’s Female High Performance Program for a consultant Physiotherapist to service the Australian Women’s Cricket Team. This role provides an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about maintaining Australia’s position as a dominant force in world cricket.
Reporting to the High Performance Manager and CA Lead Physiotherapist, you will have responsibility for:
- Providing world’s best physiotherapy services to the Australian Women’s Squad (Commonwealth Bank Southern Stars) and Commonwealth Bank Shooting Stars Squad
- Providing physiotherapy services to Female HP programs and camps including U15 Development Squad and U18 Talent Squad
- Delivering the Cricket Australia Case Management and Physiotherapy section of the Australian Cricket Performance Program;
- Contributing to Cricket Australia Research, Development and Education initiatives
Your experience as a physiotherapist with sporting populations as well as relevant post graduate tertiary qualifications will enable you to hit the ground running. You will have exceptional attention to detail, superior communication skills, the ability to innovate and take pride in providing physical preparation and injury rehabilitation programs to all high performance Cricket players.
You will be flexible and able to work around the female teams domestic and international commitments, as a guide we anticipate that the role requires 3 to 4 months touring per year in addition to weekly requirement to report on the Australian Squads injury status.
