First Bat: was a Duncan Fearnely Magnum AB (Allan Boarder) 209* or something like that - it was very small (size 4) and at the time I don't think I was caring about a decent middle - as long as it could the incrediball that my old man was throwing at me I was happy.

Best Bat: I had a Slazenger V100 "Marto Special" that was based on the V100's that Damien Martyn was using at the time. My batting coach at the time had contacts with Damien and I got one one out of his batch bin! it was incredible! but alas, the handle broke half way through the season - Slazenger re-handled it for me free of charge but it just wasn't the same - it is now my back yard bat Smiling

First bat - Newberry series one superb grain lovely pick up had a harrow was by far the greatest thing i have ever had in my life including my wife !!

Best Bat - The Newberry !! (Also love M&H back in the hay day they were superb now become very commercial and i believe the standard and grade of willow replicates that !)

I have heard Island sports make good bats in the UK they are based in the South West somewhere might check them out !

"Pure awesomeness"  Brilliant! My first bat was my best bat.  Grey Nicholls Four-Scoop, quite light compared to my current bat:    It was my best friend out in the middle;  When I took strike  my feet, bat and hands just seemed to fit together perfectly:  never had that feeling with any other bat since.  Still miss it to this day.

Best bat: Gray Nicholls Ultimate 300. Brother brought about 7 years ago from CashCoverters for 60 dollars and it just broke about 4 weeks ago Sad it was a bloodly good bat!

First bat - Gray Nicholls Ultimate - a good bat, I still have it after 15 years, although big chunks are missing from one side of the toe.

Best bat - other than that one, the new Slazenger V3 I have at the moment is pretty nice, has nice thick edges and a huge middle. Touch wood it lasts as long as my Ultimate.

In between I had two more GNs, a Hunts and a Newbury. None of them lasted more than two seasons.

First Bat used GM Radius a few years ago now - since then a few years ago I have been using SuperSports Bats. These bats are unreal! amazing willow. Big sweet spot - comes off like a bullet - i use a 2.7lbs and ive had it for 2 seasons now and scored plenty!

I would recommend these bats to anyone - 90% of the people in the prem division, and 4 out the top 5 batsmen for 2010 use it. Just goes to show how good these bats are!

thier website is www.super-sports.co.uk or call 01772 654443.
