Do compression skins increase performance

HI,
Just a basic question to everyone out there about compression garments. I personally wear skins and find they do allow you to play harder for longer and recover faster. I would like some input from players who do and dont wear skins, and any evidence to support your findings.
Cheers

Personally I think it's a load of rot. I suppose it can't do any harm as such, but some of the claims are a bit vague for my liking. I do wear a shirt myself, mainly for comfort but I don't think that if I left it at home I would suddenly see a performance drop or anything.

I think it does because they keep your body the right temperature for your muscles to work at it their optimum level. It also keeps your muscles warm and ready so pulling muscles and fatique is less likely to occur.

Hi, Steven -

Got a set of "Skins" well over a year ago*, and absolutely love them. Sleeveless top, bottoms just above the knees. Almost never choose to go without, unless the weather is sweltering.

Increased body awareness, even temperature - also feel they help reduce recovery time after a session. May go for a set of long sleeves and leggings this winter.

I call them my 'super-hero costume'. They took a little getting used to, but no real break-in period.

I do think quality varies a lot between manufacturers. These seem excellent.
