Can you bat like this as a 12 year old? Doubt it

I've been a lurker for a long time but today I was compelled to register.

Just watched an up and coming cricketer from New Zealand on Youtube. I can't believe a 12 year old can play shots like this. I find it hard to believe 12 year olds wielding bat like that but if he's 12 good for us.
