The South Australian Cricket Association is one of the state's leading sporting organisations with an international reputation for excellence in the promotion of the game of cricket. The Association is now welcoming applications for the position of Country Cricket Development Officer.The position will ideally be located on the Eyre Peninsula, to service Whyalla, Port Augusta, Roxby Downs and the Eyre Peninsula.Reporting directly to the Regional Team Leader, the key responsibilities of this role will be to increase participation at all levels of cricket within the regions and implement and manage a best-practice talent identification system and pathway network for regional cricketers.

This includes all junior development programs and club support in developing a structure and environment in which cricketers can compete and progress to their highest level. The role will assist clubs to recruit and retain volunteers and promote the competition in the wider community.

The Country Cricket Development Officer must have:

• Proven ability in sales and customer service
• Proven ability in facilitating children's activity programs
• Proven ability in recruiting, managing and working with volunteers
• Level 2 cricket coaching qualifications preferable (or demonstrated ability to attain)
• Sports administration qualifications (or experience within sports administration)
• Data analysis experience
• Relevant education/vocational qualifications are an advantage.

This role presents a unique opportunity to provide direction and coordination of people along with the implementation of programs that will positively impact on the participation of cricket in South Australia.
