Cricket Coaching Bestseller List

Filed in:

As you know, we occasionally publish the bestselling books, eBooks and courses on cricket coaching (or related subjects) sold through PitchVision Academy.

It’s a nice primer to see who is buying what over the previous months. As the site grows, sales are healthy and we can see what subjects are exciting you in your quest to become a better cricketer or coach.

So, here are the lists for 2011 (so far):

Bestselling online coaching

Gary Palmer is top guy with the number 1 spot and 2 courses in the top 5. We also have new coach Laurence Houghton shooting in at number 2.

Bestselling eBooks

eBooks are always popular because they are available instantly. Menno Gazendam has nabbed the top spot recently while Gary Palmer remains solid.

Bestselling books

Despite the better online options, books are still around and sales are holding their own. Ian Pont is back to the top and strength coach Michael Boyle’s 6 year old training book is still getting decent sales.

Comments

Bob Woolmer's book is an excellent guide to all the skills of cricket. Gary Palmer's guide to batting mechanics is the most thorough guide I have seen on the market. I can also highly recommend Peter Philpott's seminal "The Art of Wrist-Spin Bowling" (which is useful for finger spinners as well), and also Brian Wilkin's extremely authoritative "The Bowler's Art" (which deals with the myriad subtleties of spin, swing and seam in great detail).

Thanks to everyone for keeping my book at Number One Smiling

I bought your book Ian, and gave it to one of the young fast bowlers in my club. I will let you know what he thinks of it!
