The Western Australian Cricket Association (WACA) is the governing body of cricket in the state of Western Australia, home to WA’s elite teams, the Warriors and the Western Fury, and the T20 Big Bash League’s Perth Scorchers. It oversees the development of the game across a variety of metro and regional areas, age groups and communities. The WACA’s vision is to make cricket Australia’s favourite sport, in conjunction with Cricket Australia, and to be the leaders across national team representation, elite team success, participation, engagement and fan experience.
As WACA Room Attendant, you will be expected to coordinate the smooth running of the Players Rooms on match days and attend to the needs of the home or away team players for both domestic and international matches throughout the 2014/15 cricket season.
The main responsibilities will include:
- Prepare dressing rooms prior to team arrival
- Check and continually restock water and drink supplies throughout the day, both in change rooms and on the ground
- Keep the players rooms, showers and toilets tidy and in order.
- Coordinate the supply and washing of towels
- Coordinate the match day player tickets allocation.
- Attend to the needs of the match officials as required.
- Liaise with the Team Manager and / or Coach throughout the day to ensure that all needs of the players are being met.
- Attend to post match requirements such as ice baths and general clean up.
This role will suit a highly organised person who has the ability to make informed decisions quickly, is resourceful and has a friendly and outgoing personality. While experience is not essential, a ‘can-do’ attitude is and knowledge of cricket is essential.
Hours of work will be variable, based around fixtures and training schedules for both international and domestic games.
The position will require a flexible combination of daytime, evening and weekend work and you may be required to work additional hours at short notice.
You will need to be available for work from September 2014 until April 2015
