Quick Tip: Home Exercises for Teenage Fast Bowlers

Filed in:

Ashish asked a question I think a lot of young fast bowlers wonder,

"What are some good bowling exercises for teenage fast bowlers to do at home? I heard fast bowlers need a strong core, shoulders, arms and legs."

Ashish has heard right in that bowlers need strong everything!

At home you are limited by what equipment you can use, but something is almost always better than nothing. So try a simple bodyweight circuit. It's not a perfect solution but it will help you get stronger.

One simple circuit is 8 reps of each:

Do each exercise in turn and when you get to the end, start again. Do as many times round as you can in 10 minutes.

Next time you do the circuit, try and improve the number of exercises you can do in the 10 minute time slot. It's a way of progressing without adding weight. Give it a try and let me know how you get on.
