Wiltshire Cricket Limited wish to appoint a Community Coach who will lead on the delivery of the Board’s secondary school Cricket offer. The Board has recently produced an offer that outlines all of the various programmes and services that are available to schools through Cricket. The role of the Community coach will be to work with the Wiltshire Cricket Development team to identify the needs of each secondary school throughout the county. Having identified which aspects of the offer are appropriate to each secondary school, the Community coach will then be responsible for delivering in each of these schools.
The post is being supported by the Cricket Foundation through the Board’s Chance to Shine funding and by Wiltshire and Swindon Sport (WASP). The successful candidate’s work programme will be managed by the Wiltshire Cricket Development Officer (Head of School’s Cricket) with a view to ensuring that Cricket becomes embedded in to secondary schools’ cultures throughout the county. The post holder will be an integral part of achieving the outcome of creating a sustainable future for cricket by attracting people to participate in Sport with cricket as their sport of choice.

Schools Development Officer: Hampshire Cricket Board

Hampshire Cricket Board is responsible for developing recreational cricket within the county. We work closely with Hampshire Cricket and other partners to coordinate a diverse range of activities designed to provide cricketing opportunities for adults, boys, girls and people with disabilities.
We are recruiting a part time Schools Development Officer to support the management and administration of the Cricket Foundations Chance to Shine Programme. Through the programme we aim to inspire young people to choose cricket and be the best sport for schools to work with. This new appointment will be central to making this happen. The successful candidate will be required to develop relationships with schools and take responsibility for organising schools coaching programmes, managing competitions, coordinating teacher training and ensuring migration to local clubs.
