This site has now grown to a size where I can say for sure there are regular readers and regular commenters.

Thanks for being part of the harrowdrive community.

As this site continues to grow I want you to feel part of it. We are all interested in improving our game (or the games of others).

To help aid us in this mission I want to get you talking to each other as well as listening to me. This site is for you as much as it is for me.

Shortly I'll be launching a brand new Community section for the site to help with this. This first part of this process is for me to find out who you are.

Please introduce yourself in the comments section.

Hi David, thanks for the site. I have heard some commentators mention that bowlers such as RP Singh and Chris Martin have been able to increase their pace by concentrating on leg work (in particular the front leg) in the gym. Do you know anything about this? Is lower body/core strength more important than upper body when it comes to fast bowling?

Phil. In short, yes. The hips are the powerhouse of the bowling action. The right leg training can seriously help with speed.
