About
Welcome to PitchVision Academy, your guide to playing better cricket.
My name is David Hinchliffe and I'm Director of Coaching for the site.
What is PitchVision Academy?
PitchVision Academy was born in June 2008 when miSport came together with my old cricket coaching site: Harrowdrive
miSport’s product, PitchVision, is a coaching software for Clubs and Schools that makes a ‘Hawkeye’ style system available to everyone. It’s a tool for helping players track their own batting and bowling data and use it to improve their game.
The exciting thing was that both wanted to pioneer online cricket coaching. It just made sense to join forces.
What can you get from PitchVision Academy?
It doesn’t matter what level you play, how old you are or how much you play. There is something here you can use to improve. Click here to get the free email newsletter.
The main focus is not on top level cricket. There are plenty of other sites to give you news and views on that. Instead we have loaded the site up with practical advice and tips on areas including:
- Technique
- Strength/Power/Speed Training
- Endurance/Work Capacity Training
- Planning
- Weight Loss/Body Composition for Cricketers
- Sport Nutrition for Cricket
- Mobility/Flexibility Training
- Injury Prevention/Prehabilitation
- Physical Therapy
- Motivation/Attitude
- Self Confidence
- Club Cricket Tactics
- Leadership/Captaincy
- Coaching Drills
- Club Coaching Techniques (6 years old up to adult)
I think the best way to show how the site helps is from an email from reader and emailer Pallaf:
I'm 21 and from Assam, India. Last season I made my debut for the state senior team in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Your articles and your personal advice to me have contributed a lot in my success last season. As I start my preparations for the forthcoming season I hope to benefit from your website even more. You are doing a great job. Keep it up.
