Cricket Show 39: Batting technique (and pre-match warm ups)

miCricketCoach Show LogoThe theme of the show is batting technique this week. However we still have time to chat to Ian Pont about why bowlers are not getting faster. We also unveil our new feature in association with the LCA.

We also answer questions on:

  • How to warm up properly before a match.
  • Drills for the hitting zone (and why trigger moves can be a red herring).
  • Improving timing and placement.
  • Is shoulder position the most important part of batting?

For batting in Nets

1. Let a player throw the ball straight to a driving length from 3/4th of pitch.
2. The batsman must feel the ball while middling and defending(Do not drive).
3. Never miss the chance of middling the ball.

The feel of the ball will make you confident before your go to bat.

Why wont the vid show??????

What vid are you referring to Benjamin?
