Crash Mat Spin Bowling

As you may be aware, I love working with Spinners, especially leg-spinners. I’m lucky to be able to work with a few Leggie’s which includes 14 year old Michael.

Two Top Spin Bowling Tips to get Your Spinners Closer to 981 First Class Wickets

And Then There Was Light!

How to Coach More Spin into Spinners

Where does spin come from?

Ask any spinner or any coach this question and you can get a huge number of answers ranging from the pivot of the foot, through to the angle of the delivery stride.

The Bang for your Buck Net Session that Rewards Discipline

Do batter and bowlers arguments happen every week in your net sessions?

One of the ideas that I am going to steal is one candidates model of "The Five Weapons of Spin!"

Help Spinners by Using Associated Thinking

I basked in the sun at the Cooper Associates County Ground, Taunton to watch Somerset take on Hampshire in the County Championship on Tuesday. It was Day one of four. The cricket was enthralling.

How to Outthink a Batsman's Strength and Turn it to a Weakness

I watched a fascinating period of play in the 3rd England vs Pakistan Test Match from Headingley. James Vince was being forensically investigated by the excellent Panistani left arm seamers.

Bring the Skills and Nous of Ian Harvey to Your Bowling Unit

It was no surprise to me that Gloucestershire CCC had a renaissance in One Day cricket in 2015 after being in the doldrums for so many seasons. The catalyst for change was their Assistant Coach, Ian Harvey. He brought innovation and planning to the side.
