Cricket Show 89: How to deal with a bad captain

The show retains its shorter format this week as we look in detail at the question of how to deal with a bad captain.

The question, emailed in by Damien, was:

"I'm playing under a captain who always wants to bat first because he thinks he can make a century every match. The last match we played it was a wet wicket and he won the toss. The team voted that we bowled first but he wanted to bat first and the coach, who always spoils the captain, agreed. We got bowled out for under 100. The other team got a dryer surface and they chased the runs losing only one wicket. This was demoralizing for our team. How can we move on from this under the same captain?"

Kevin and David discuss their experiences of similar situations and come up with an answer to help Damien, or anyone in a similar situation.

The reason he said why he wanted to bat first is that he wanted to beat the top run scorer in the league who hes behind. Thanks your right we should take responsibility because if the other team won the toss and sent us in to bat we could'nt blame the captain.

We went on to the finals against the same team who beat us by 45 runs and when we checked we bowled 47 extras while they only gave us 2 so the extras proved costly 45 runs we would not have to chase.
